  QA Engineer. Poplicus creates big data analytics on top of the U.S. Government public sector data. The flagship product is a real-time online DaaS platform. The web application has a rich user interface with tons of features for advanced opportunity search and market analysis (and of course there were bugs).
  
  I reported directly to a QA Lead based in San Francisco, CA communicating verbally and in writing using standard means such as Skype, email, join.me, etc. I extensively used JIRA for defect reporting and tracking. My main responsibilities included:
  Creating test cases for complex user behavior scenarios which could not have been easily automated
  Cross-browser feature testing
  Creating integration tests for Continuous Integration
  Automating regression testing with JMeter
  Building load tests for progressive workload simulation.

• 07.2013 – 01.2014

  Webforce, LLC

  Junior QA Engineer. This is a stealth mode internet startup currently developing a social web application for creating and sharing r?sum?s in the cloud.
  The application has a rich JQuery-based UI for manipulating r?sum? content, which makes a lot of room for the functional testing.
  I have been doing manual black-box functional testing and developed a big interest in automation. Started looking into the tools like JMeter and Selenium.
  My responsibilities included full participation in the testing cycle:
  Requirements analysis
  Writing test plans
  Writing test cases
  Executing test cases
  Reporting defects
  Regression testing
  Test closure
  
  I have been working remotely with the development team located in San Francisco. We communicated predominantly via email and JIRA, with occasional Skype calls.
